245D Licensed Services: ILS and IHS

ILS and IHS services consist of direct training from a staff person to develop, maintain, and improve the community living skills of a client.    

ILS & IHS staff work with clients to design and implement structure and support systems that promote healthy habits, effective routines, and strategies necessary for successful independent living. Areas of evaluation and goal setting include but are not limited to: 

- Time management

- Problem solving

- Household management (finance, paperwork completion, organization)

- Housing (search, application and submission)

- Nutritional management 

- Personal health care management (scheduling, paperwork completion, insurance, transportation arrangement). 

- Purposeful Activities that related to overall wellbeing

- Service provider agreement

- Civic awareness/legal rights/public assistance

- Interpersonal relationships and communication

- Safety and self-defense 

- Community mobility and orientation
