Our Team

   

Tung Tuong: A Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Has worked in various aspects within social services such as: private therapy practice, correction, children therapeutic social services, outpatient MI/CD treatment program, mental health case management, waiver case management, and care coordination (SNBC). 


  

Thuy Tuong: Thuy has over 15 years of accounting experience with non-profit and for-profit companies. She last worked as an Accountant Manager for Vietnamese Social Services.

Individualized Home Supports (IHS)

  

Individualized Home Supports services have a client-centered focus to assist in what is most important to and for the client and/or their loved ones. The services include both skills training and supports that are provided in-home and over the phone on a weekly basis.  Skills training and supports include but are not limited to:

- Time management 

- Household management (finance, paperwork completion, organization)

- Housing (search, application, and submission)

- Nutritional management (cooking, and grocery shopping)

- Personal health care management (scheduling, paperwork completion, insurance, and transportation arrangement). 

- Community mobility, engagement, and purposeful activities that ensure overall wellbeing.

- Civic awareness, legal rights and public assistance.

-  Interpersonal relationships and communication.

Employment

Individualized Home Support (IHS) staff: Part time and/or full time positions

Oweis Home Health is looking for individuals who have the desire to learn more about social services and help those who's in need for support to maintain independent in the community. 


  DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

- Conduct Individualized Home Support (IHS) training in accordance with DHS guidelines.

- IHS Skill training includes but is not limited to the following areas:  money management, health insurance, daily living skills, household management, mobility, peer support, self and individual advocacy, assertiveness, and socialization.

 - IHS staff assist members with housing issues, including but not limited to obtaining affordable and/or accessible housing, accessing funding to pay for rent, communicate/advocate with landlords and public housing agencies, 

 - Work with consumers one-on-one in the individual’s home, community environment, and/or over the phone. 

- Facilitate timely completion of Individualized Home Support goals, and provide services according to those goals. 

- Maintain appropriate interpersonal relationships with consumers, staff and peers.


 REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- A college degree, currently in college, and/or related job experience. 

- Familiarity with a range of Individualized Home Support skills and ability to teach others such skills. 

- Demonstrated ability to problem solve with creative, individualized approaches, 

 interpersonal skills. 

- Knowledge of and ability to work with community resources. 

- Demonstrated verbal and written skills sufficient to use IHS skills training materials, and report on individuals’ progress. 

- Creative planner with good organization and documentation skills. 

- Knowledge and experience using a personal computer, smart devices, and web-video applications. 

- Teachable and coachable
